Evonne "Evie" Bultemeyer competes for Trine University over three sports seasons, participating in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. Along with balancing academics and athletics, Bultemeyer was an All-American in cross country in 2019, finishing eighth at the NCAA Division III National Championship. Hope's Ana Tucker won the Wheaton Gil Dodds Invitational and became the second MIAA cross country runner in three weeks to be named National Athlete of the Week by USTFCCCA.
Bultemeyer, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, picked up the individual title at the Calvin Knight Invitational. She topped 199 other athletes and crossed the finish line in 21:29.0, which was 11 seconds clear of the runner-up and set a school record for the 6K distance.
