Trine's Bultemeyer, Hope's Tucker All-Americans at NCAA Women's Cross Country Championships

Capping an impressive junior campaign with an eighth-place finish, Trine University's Evie Bultemeyer was the top Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association at the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship Nov. 23 at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.

Bultemeyer, the MIAA and NCAA Great Lakes Regional champion, posted the top finish in Trine history and highest finish by an MIAA competitor since a fourth-place finish by Hope's Erin Herrmann in 2016. Bultemeyer posted a time of 21:27.6 for eighth place.

Also turning in an All-America run was Hope's Ana Tucker, as the freshman crossed the line in 24th place with a time of 22:00.1. Tucker was the second freshman to cross the line at the national championship.

In team standings, Hope ranked 27th out of 32 teams, while Calvin finished 31st.
