Albion

Alma

Did not compete. The Scots are back on the course Oct. 19 at the Inter-Regional Rumble.


Calvin

Calvin sophomore Haley Weesies took 21st at the Jayhawk Invitational this past Friday in Muskegon, clocking a time of 20:00.90 on the rain-slickened 5K course. Weesies was the top Division III runner in the race. The Calvin women's cross country team returns to action this Saturday when it competes at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational.


No. 17 Hope

The Hope College women’s cross country team put eight runners among the Top 40 finishers en route to a third-place total at the Muskegon Community College Invitational on Friday. The Flying Dutch totaled 101 points for third place out of 11 teams. Freshman Sarah Grimes (Plainwell, Mich.) led Hope with a 5K run of 20:10.82 for 25th place. Sophomore Elizabeth Stevens (Twin Lake, Mich.) finished in 20:14.58 for 28th place.


Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo returns to action on Oct. 19 at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin.


Olivet

Did not compete.


Saint Mary's

The Belles took 15th place at the Bethel Invitational on a wet and chilly Friday afternoon at St. Patrick's County Park. Riley Swope led the way for the Belles with a 20:54.4 time in the 5k race - a nearly identical 5k time for the same race a year ago for the sophomore. Alexa Zeese had a 20:53.2 as she improved her 5k time from earlier this season. Julia Bobosky (21:02.0), Emily Blank (21:19.6 - new collegiate PR), and Brigid Conmy (21:22.4) wrapped up the team score.
