Around the MIAA

Adrian

The Bulldogs took part in the Warrior Challenge hosted by Wayne State on Satuday. Sydney Feekings finished first for Adrian in 20th (28:51.2).


Albion

Jordan Revenaugh was the first Division III runner to finish the 6K course in the Warrior Challenge on Saturday. She was fifth in a field of 45 runners, reaching the finish line in 23:31.4.


Alma

On a hot and humid Friday (Sept. 20), senior Aubrey Hemstreet (Kalamazoo, Mich.) paced the cross country team to a tenth place finish at Knight Raider-Invitational. Hemstreet finished 12th overall with a time of 19:47.90.


Calvin

No. 23 Hope

Hope's Ana Tucker (Midland, Mich.) outkicked an NCAA Division III All-American to win the Wheaton Gil Dodds Invitational Sept. 21. Tucker clocked a winning 6K time of 22:22.8 in a field of 171 runners. Tucker edged Wheaton All-American and runner-up Aryn Embretson by 1.5 seconds. Hope placed third out of 11 teams with 71 points. Fourth-ranked University of Chicago came in first with 34 points. Top-ranked Washington-St. Louis finished second with 49 points. Four Flying Dutch runners were in the Top 20. Senior Chelsea Miskelley (Holland, Mich.) took 15th with a time of 23:02.5. Freshman Ellie Jankowski (Granger, Ind.) posted a 17th-place run of 23.07.0. Senior Anna Frazee (Watervliet, Mich.) recorded an 18th-place effort of 23:11.3.


Kalamazoo

Did not compete. The Hornets are scheduled to be back in action Sept. 28 at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational.


Olivet

Olivet finished in 15th-place at the 45th Annual Bill Salter Western Invitational at the Thames Valley Golf Course in London, Ontario. Sophomore Kaylee Richardson was the first Olivet runner to cross the finish line, running the 6K race in 28:10.


Saint Mary's

The Belles placed eleventh overall and were third among NCAA Division III programs at the 51st annual National Catholic Invitational at the University of Notre Dame. Katie Glenn led the pack for Saint Mary's in the championship race as the senior posted a 19:50.27. Glenn finished 46th overall and was less than six seconds off of her PR for a 5k race despite hot racing conditions. Julia O'Grady crossed the finish line in 20:08.94 and was 58th overall. The Belles are back to competing on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they take part in the Pre-National Race at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.


Trine

Finished fourth of eight teams at the Taylor University Ray Bullock Invitational. Evie Bultemeyer led the Thunder with a 12th-place finish after running a time of 19:31.3.
