Hope College runner Chelsea Miskelley has been chosen for the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District® Team in NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field / Cross Country for the 2019-20 school year.

The recent graduate advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America vote done by CoSIDA members. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 22-25.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA — and across eight geographic districts within each division. Hope's district includes Division III schools located in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Miskelley is from Holland, Michigan (Black River HS). She pursued a double major of biochemistry and molecular biology while competing in both track and field and cross country. She had a 3.97 grade point average.

A decorated athlete, Miskelley earned all-region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for indoor track and field in the distance medley relay this season. She helped the Flying Dutch claim their second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Championships in three years in February.

Last fall, Miskelley ran on the women's cross country team that finished 27th at the NCAA Championships and claimed a school-record fifth consecutive MIAA title. She earned all-conference honors for the third consecutive season in cross country. She is a two-time, All-MIAA honoree in outdoor track and field.

CoSIDA members nominate student-athletes for their district ballot and vote on the honorees. The top 12 vote-getters in women's track and field/cross receive all-district honors.

The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2019-20 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
