2017 MIAA Year In Review - Women's Soccer

Among the highlights from the 2017 season:

- Hope advanced to the 2017 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship after winning the MIAA Tournament title. The Flying Dutch then posted a 1-0 neutral-site win over UW-Whitewater in the First Round before bowing to host Chicago in the Second Round.

- For the first time in MIAA history, eight of nine women's soccer teams were represented on the United Soccer Coaches' All-Region teams

- Hope successfully defended their MIAA Tournament title in a 2-1 victory over Olivet in the 2017 championship contest. After Olivet scored in the game's first minute, Hope rebounded with goals in the 26th and 68th minutes to secure the title.

-In a competitive regular season for MIAA women's soccer, four teams gathered 10 or more wins in conference play; overall, six teams had a .500 record or better for the 2017 season.
