Crystal Lettinga, a member of the Comets women’s golf team, has found a groove being an advocate as a student at Olivet College. Lettinga is the Olivet Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president, is a reporter for the Comet News, and maybe most importantly, an advocate for Coral Lettinga, Crystal’s twin sister who has autism. Jennifer Kowalczyk, a senior on the Alma College women’s golf team, has taken on many leadership roles during four years as a Scot. Kowalczyk, a clinical exercise physiology major, has found time to gather clinical hours, serve as the captain for the Alma women’s golf program, participate in Alma’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and create a new club on campus: the ASAP program (Alma Scots/Alma Panthers Special Education Mentoring program).
