Around the MIAA
Adrian
The Bulldogs will begin the 2019 fall season Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Olivet College Labor Day Invitational.
Albion
Albion will begin their fall campaign Thursday, Aug. 29 at Hope.
Alma
Saturday, Aug. 31 marks the start of the Alma College fall season when the Scots compete at the Olivet College Labor Day Invitational.
Calvin
The Knights begin the season Friday-Saturday, Aug. 30-31, at the Battle at the Border, hosted by Carthage College.
Hope
The Flying Dutch will host Albion Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Ravines for the season opener for both teams.
Kalamazoo
Kalamazoo travels to the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational Aug. 30-31 for the Hornets' first action of the 2019 fall season.
Olivet
The Olivet College women's golf team was the runner-up (out of six schools) at the season-opening Trine University Fall Kick-Off Classic, held Aug. 23 at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana. Senior Nicole Deweyert (Dorchester, Ontario) tied for second-place in the player standings with a 75 to match a career-low round.
Saint Mary's
The Belles are slated to start the 2019 fall Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Lynn Schweizer Invitational.
Trine
Senior Lyndsey Welper (Lake Orion, Mich.) carded a career-low score of 72 strokes and finished as the individual medalist to lead the Trine University women's golf team to a third place finish at the Trine Fall Kickoff Classic at Zollner Golf Course Aug. 23. The Thunder finished with an overall team score of 328 strokes to finish third. Grace College captured the event with a score of 312 strokes and Olivet College was second at 325 strokes.
