Adrian

Adrian closes its semester of competition at this weekend’s MIAA Fall Final…the Bulldogs were most recently in action on Oct. 2 and 3 for the MIAA Jamboree 3-4, as the team finished seventh (351) and eighth (371), respectively…Junior Hailey Scott led the way with an 80 for a sixth-place tie overall out of 57 competitors on Oct. 2 in Angola, Ind., marking her third top-10 showing of the 2019-20 campaign…Scott led the way again a day later in Marshall, shooting an 85 for 13th out of 53 golfers.


Albion

Alma

Alma played both MIAA Jamborees three and four last week; the Scots finished in eighth on Wednesday (Oct. 2) and fourth on Thursday (Oct. 3). Junior Grace Grelak (Canton, Mich.) led the Scots on Wednesday with an 86. Ava Gardiner (Sterling Heights, Mich.) led the Scots on Thursday with an 84. Alma is currently in seventh place in the conference – 44 strokes behind fourth-place Calvin – with two rounds of the Fall Final left. Round one begins on Friday (Oct. 11).


Calvin

Calvin played through soggy conditions Wednesday afternoon to post a school record team score at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Trine University. The Knights posted a school record team of 334 strokes at the Zollner Golf Club on the campus of Trine University. The following afternoon Calvin took fifth at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Olivet at the Medalist. The Knights posted a team score of 348 strokes. Heading into the final 36 holes of competition of the MIAA season, the Knights rest in fourth place in the overall team standings, 12 strokes ahead of fifth place Trine and 18 strokes back of Hope and 20 strokes behind second place Olivet.


Hope

The Flying Dutch inched closer to second place in the MIAA regular-season standings with back-to-back, runner-up performances at league jamboree last week. On Thursday, the Flying Dutch posted a runner-up team score of 332 at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. Junior Abigail Meder (Lansing, Mich.) and freshman Grace VanDellen (Oxford, Mich.) shared medalist honors for the jamboree by carding 8-over-par 80s. On Wednesday, the Flying Dutch shot a runner-up total of 333 at Trine University’s Zollner Golf Course and finished ahead of three teams by one stroke. Grace VanDellen tied for 11th place after carding a team-low 82 for Hope.


Kalamazoo

The Hornets competed in a pair of MIAA Jamborees as they placed ninth at both Zollner on Wednesday and The Medalist on Thursday. Darby Scott carded a pair of 81s in the two events to finish in the top eight in both. Katherine Stewart placed second for Kalamazoo in each Jamboree. The Hornets return to action at the MIAA Fall Final at Bedford Valley on Oct. 11 and 12.


Olivet

Olivet maintained its second-place spot in the MIAA standings after tying for third-place at the third league jamboree and finishing third at the fourth league jamboree. At the third jamboree at the Zollner Golf Course, senior Nicole Deweyert earned medalist honors and broke the MIAA course record with a 72. The 72 also tied for the fourth-best 18-hole score in school history. At the fourth jamboree at The Medalist Golf Club, Deweyert shared medalist honors with an 80.


RV Saint Mary's

The Belles captured first place at the third and four MIAA Jamborees of the season last Wednesday and Thursday. Hunter Kehoe (73-81) and Summer Stillson (77-81) were the top two performers for the Belles at the events. Sydney Hruskoci (80-82) was the third-best scorer for Saint Mary's at the two events.


Trine

Finished in a tie for third and tied for fifth in the final MIAA Jamboree events of the fall...freshman Maire Sullivan led Trine at the MIAA Jamboree #3 with a score of 87 strokes and senior Lyndsey Welper shot a team-best 82 strokes in MIAA Jamboree #4.
