2018-19 MIAA Year In Review - Women's Basketball

2018-19 MIAA Year In Review - Women's Basketball

Among the highlights from the 2018-19 season:

- The Trine women's basketball team won their third consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association regular season championship and second outright title in three seasons with an unblemished 16-0 record against MIAA foes.

- Trine and Hope, ranked in the top 10 by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for much of the 2018-19 season, played in the first-ever double-overtime MIAA Tournament Championship game. Trine prevailed, 70-65, after scoring the game's final six points.

- Postseason awards were aplenty for MIAA women's basketball players, including First-Team All-America honors for Trine's Brandi Dawson by both the WBCA and D3hoops.com. Dawson and Hope's Francesca Buchanan both participated in the first-ever WBCA Division III All-Star Game.
