A trio of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standouts garnered postseason honors from D3hoops.com, the online publication announced Saturday (March 16). Trine's Brandi Dawson led the way as a First Team All-America honoree, while Hope's Francesca Buchanan was tabbed a Fourth Team All-American. Calvin's Gabby Timmer capped a first-season campaign as the D3hoops.com Rookie of the Year.

Dawson, a three-time MIAA Most Valuable Player, earned All-American honors from D3hoops.com for the third consecutive season; Dawson was a second team selection last season and third team as a sophomore in 2017. Dawson averaged 17.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in leading Trine to the NCAA Championship for the third time.

Buchanan averaged 14.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game during a season where Hope went 24-5 overall, with all five losses coming against nationally-ranked opponents. Buchanan was a third team All-American selection last season by d3hoops.com.

Timmer averaged 18.4 points and 10.7 rebounds per game while shooting 52.8 percent from the field. Timmer notched 12 double-doubles (points-rebounds) during the season.
