Among the highlights from the 2018-19 season:
- The Hope women's swimming and diving team won the 2019 MIAA Swimming and Diving Championship, snapping Calvin's 14-year streak of MIAA Swimming & Diving titles. During the final day of competition, the Flying Dutch won four of six individual events and capped the night with a victory in the 400 free relay.
- Hope sophomore Meghan Peel turned in two sub-two minute times in the 200 backstroke at the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships March 20-23, on the way to a National Runner-Up finish in the event. Peel's second-place finish was the top individual finish by an MIAA student-athlete since Hope's Sarah Sheridan won 3-meter diving in 2016, and best finish by a swimmer since Calvin's Elizabeth Counsell was National Runner-Up in the 100 breaststroke in 2013.
- For the second consecutive year, the MIAA Swimming and Diving Championships started with a Special Olympics Unified event. At the NCAA Championships, Albion's Anna Moore represented the MIAA on the national stage as a Unified relay race participant.
