Kansas City, Mo. - Five Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer players were recognized as top players on the field and in the classroom Dec. 10 with the United Soccer Coaches' announcement of NCAA Division III Scholar All-Region teams.

The Adrian trio of Ayverie Giller (Jr., GK, Grand Ledge, Mich.), Caroline Fleming (Jr., F, Grosse Ile, Mich.), and Rachel Rodeheffer (Sr., D, Commerce Twp., Mich.) was joined by Albion's Megan Bricely (Sr., GK, Troy, Mich.) and Calvin's Kali Mouw (Sr., D, Avon, N.Y.) on the Scholar All-North/Central Region teams. Giller was named to the First Team, while Mouw and Fleming were Second Team honorees; Bricely and Rodeheffer appeared on the Third Team.

Giller, a biology major with a 3.76 grade-point average, posted a 0.80 goals-against average in 2018 on the way to gathering First-Team All-MIAA honors. Giller made four saves in Adrian's MIAA Tournament Championship win over nationally-ranked Hope Nov. 3.

Mouw is a kinesiology major with a 3.95 grade point average and was a key contributor to Calvin's defense that tallied seven shutouts; Mouw also had an impact on the attack with two assists in 2018 on the way to first-team All-MIAA honors for the second consecutive season.

Fleming, who was named a Google Cloud Academic All-American® earlier this month, was a key factor in helping Adrian capture their first-ever MIAA Tournament title to advance to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship; Fleming tallied 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points during Adrian's 14-6-1 season.

Bricely was a second-team All-MIAA selection in 2018, registering a 1.40 goals-against average in 18 games, recording five shutouts and 115 saves. Bricely owns a 3.78 grade-point average in biology.

Rodeheffer, who is pursuing a degree in exercise science with a 3.88 grade-point average, had an assist on Adrian's lone goal in their MIAA Tournament Championship win over Hope. On the season, Rodeheffer helped the Bulldogs post a team goals-against average of 0.70 while adding four goals and two assists and was an All-MIAA honoree.
