2019 MIAA Year In Review - Men's Cross Country

Among the highlights from the 2019 season:

- Calvin captured their 33rd consecutive MIAA title with a perfect score of 15 at the 2019 MIAA Men's Cross Country Championship Nov. 2 in Angola, Ind. The Knights placed the top five finishers for the ninth perfect score in MIAA Championship history; to note, all nine have been accomplished by Calvin. Calvin's Jonathan Ellis was the individual winner, crossing in 26:02.7.

- For the 28th time in program history, Calvin was the NCAA Great Lakes Regional champion, held on the Knights' home course in Grand Rapids, Mich. Calvin scored 43 points; Jonathan Ellis finished second, while teammate Tyler Johnson placed second. With the win, Calvin received an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship; also advancing to the national championship were Trine individuals Jack Beakas and Levi Neuzerling.

- Calvin went on to place 14th at the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships Nov. 23. Jonathan Ellis and Tyler Johnson garnered All-America honors by finishing 18th and 28th, respectively.
