Among the highlights from the 2018 season:

- Calvin went 7-0-0 in the MIAA in 2018 to win the conference's regular season title; the Knights then defeated Adrian 2-1 in the MIAA Tournament championship game to earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Championship. The regular season title was the 12th consecutive for the Knights.

- Calvin advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championship game for the fourth time in program history and second time in three seasons, but the Knights were defeated by Tufts 2-1 in the final.

- Five MIAA men's soccer players gathered Academic All-America® honors, setting an MIAA record for most MIAA men's soccer players to be honored in one season.
