With Calvin already established as the top seed for the 2016 MIAA Men's Soccer Tournament, late dramatics on the regular season's final day was what settled the remainder of the four-team field.

• Alma utilized two 1-0 victories on the week to end the regular season on a high note and push the Scots into the #2 seed for the MIAA Tournament. Kyle Kansman (Sr., D, Farmington Hills, Mich.) had an impressive week for Alma; not only did the senior captain score both game-winning goals, including an overtime strike in the 104th minute against Trine Oct. 25, but was one of five MIAA men's soccer players named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team on Thursday.
• Albion suffered a tough 4-1 setback to #20 Calvin Oct. 25, placing the Brits in the position of win-or-go-home for their regular season finale at Kalamazoo Oct. 29. Tied at 0-0 late into the second overtime period with the Hornets, Albion's Aaron Smit (Jr., M, Hamilton, Mich.) converted on a shot from 15 yards out in the 107th minute giving the Brits the #4 seed for the MIAA Tournament.
• #20 Calvin increased its winning streak to six games with a 2-0 week against MIAA challengers. The Knights were dominant in those wins, beating Albion 4-1 Oct. 25 and topping Trine 5-0 Oct. 29. Against the Thunder Saturday, Calvin had five different players score, with Jacob Witte (So., M, Grand Rapids, Mich.) notching what proved to be the game-winner in the third minute. Against Albion, Bobby McCaw (So., M, Dubuque, Iowa) had a two-goal night which included the game-winner in the 68th minute.
• Adrian set a program record with their ninth MIAA victory of the season, a 3-0 home victory over Olivet Oct. 25. Three different players scored for the Bulldogs in the win, started by Brandon Katona (So., M, Detroit, Mich.) and his eventual game-winner in the 18th minute.
