Sophomore swimmer Charles Platt (Downers Grove, Ill./ Downers Grove North) was a catalyst in leading the eighth-ranked Calvin University men's swimming and diving team to a 166-111 victory over Division II opponent, Wayne State. Platt was the anchor in the second-place 800 freestyle relay with a split of 1:39.51 and led off the 200 freestyle relay in 21.21 to help win the event. In his individual event, Platt won the 100 freestyle in 45.99, an in-season best for Platt.
