Senior swimmer Ben Catton (Holland, Mich. / Holland Christian) led the 16th-ranked Hope College men's swimming and diving team to a pair of victories against MIAA opponents on saturday and competed against NCAA Division I Oakland University and Division II Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) on Friday. Catton posted the fastest time in the 100 butterfly in Hope's tri-meet against Oakland and SVSU on Friday night. His time of 48.48 is believed to be the fastest time in Division 3 this weekend. Catton also placed 3rd in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.39 and posted a 46.02 in the 100 freestyle in Friday night's competition against Oakland and SVSU. In the MIAA dual meet, Catton was the lead-off for the winning 400-medley relay, finishing with a time of 3:36.59.
