Junior swimmer Greta Gidley (Franklin, Mich. / Mercy) posted a record-breaking performance with the No. 11-ranked Hope College women's swimming and diving team at the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College (Ohio). To start the weekend of competition, Gidley broke the meet and school record and posted the fastest time in the country this season with a 2:01.90 in the 200-yard individual medley. Gidley won the 100 butterfly while also posting the fastest time in MIAA history finishing at 54.87, and finished 10th in the 200-yard butterfly A-final with a time of 2:08.78. Gidley was a part of the third-place 200-yard medley relay and had two fourth-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-medley relay.
