2019 MIAA Year In Review - Women's Cross Country

Among the highlights from the 2019 season:

- Hope captured their fifth consecutive MIAA title with five runners finishing in the top 11, including four in the top eight, to win the 2019 MIAA Women's Cross Country Championship Nov. 2 in Angola, Ind. 

- Winning the MIAA individual title was Trine's Evie Bultemeyer, who crossed the 6K event in 22:34.9 to win by 45 seconds; Bultemeyer became the first MIAA individual champion in program history.

- Evie Bultemeyer then kept momentum and won the individual title at the 2019 Great Lakes Regional Nov. 16 in Grand Rapids, Mich.; Bultemeyer finished the race in 20:58.4 to win by 12 seconds. Hope finished fourth and Calvin sixth and both gained at-large berths to the NCAA Championship.

- At the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships Nov. 25, Trine's Evie Bultemeyer (8th, 21:27.6) and Hope's Ana Tucker (24th, 22:00.1) both garnered All-America accolades with their top 35 finishes in Louisville, Ky. In team standings, Hope ranked 27th out of 32 teams, while Calvin finished 31st.
