With nearly 4,000 students, Calvin is one of North America's largest and most respected Christian colleges. Calvin, founded in 1876, aims to provide a vigorous liberal arts education that promotes lifelong service. The college's outstanding faculty is known world wide for producing substantial and challenging art and scholarship.

Calvin's curriculum is shaped by the Christian faith as reflected in the Reformed creeds; because of the college's relatively large size, Calvin is able to offer a diverse, Christian, liberal arts education. The curriculum features over 80 majors and programs, numerous off-campus and foreign study programs, a five-floor automated library with over 600,000 holdings, many support services and a beautiful 375-acre campus.

Calvin's excellence in the classroom is matched by success in athletics. Calvin has won 11 NCAA Division III national team championships -- men's basketball in 1992 and 2000, men's cross country in 2000, 2003, 2004 and 2006, women's cross country in 1998 and 1999, and women's volleyball in 2010, 2013, and 2016.
