The Hope College women's cross country team crossed all five runners in the top 11, including four in the top eight slots on the way to a team score of 32 to win the 2019 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship Saturday at Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind.

The title was the fifth consecutive championship for Hope, and 11th all-time.

Trine's Evie Bultemeyer finished the 6K event in 22:34.9 to win by 45 seconds on second-place finisher Ana Tucker of Hope. Bultemeyer pulled away mid-race to become the first MIAA women's cross country champion in program history.

Leading Hope was Tucker with a time of 23:19.1, while Anna Frazee finished fourth; Chelsea Miskelley and Jacinda Cole placed seventh and eighth, respectively, while Rebecca Duran placed 11th to round out Hope's scoring to finish in front of Trine (49 points) and Calvin (54 points).

Other top finishers included Calvin's Michelle Koetje (third), Annie Needs (ninth), and Emma Schroer (10th) and from Trine, Alli Smith (fifth) and Elizabeth Lohman (sixth).
