Sophie Koeppl, a Saint Mary’s junior majoring in history and economics, is a captain on the Belles’ basketball team. Koeppl attributes the growth of leadership on the court to a family history of military service. Koeppl is currently part of the Notre Dame Army ROTC, and Koeppl has integrated experiences in both basketball and the military to be a leader in both realms.
