Calvin and Hope to Compete at 2022 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship, Along With Albion's McCulloch

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Calvin University and Hope College women's cross country programs will represent the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) at the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championship, along with Albion College's Megan McCulloch.

Thirty-two teams were selected to participate in each championship. Calvin and Hope were two of 22 teams that were selected at-large.

Calvin was the runner up at the Great Lakes Regional Championship on November 12 with 106 points, followed by Hope in third place with 127 points.

Hope College senior Ana Tucker led the pack of Division III Great Lakes runners last Saturday with a time of 20:53.8 to earn the title of the region's Women's Athlete of the Year, finishing exactly 20 seconds ahead of the second-place participant.  Calvin University sophomore Jenna Allman (21:19.6) and junior teammate Sienna Ruiter-Diaz (21:45.3) also completed the race in the top 10, finishing in third place and sixth place, respectively.  Albion senior Megan McCulloch crossed the finish line in 11th place with a time of 21:53.4.

Olivet College and the Greater Lansing Sports Authority are hosting the championships November 19 at Forest Akers East Golf Course on the campus of Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan.  The women’s race will begin at 11:00 a.m.

A live webstream of the championships will occur on www.NCAA.com beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
