Just two teams were in action last week as Olivet and Calvin competed in women's cross country. The entire MIAA field will be back in action next week at the MIAA Jamboree, hosted by Alma College.

Calvin, currently ranked 13th nationally, took second place in the open division race at the University of Washington Sundodger Invitational Sept. 17. Cassie Vince (Jr., Amherst, Ohio) finished 12th overall with a time of 21:23; that effort was the second-fastest time among NCAA Division III competitors.  

Olivet participated in the Michigan State Spartan Invitational, which features races for all levels of intercollegiate competition. Allyson Schultz (Sr., Traverse City, Mich.) was the top finisher for Olivet on the 6K course, finishing in 25.49.
