Three MIAA Volleyball Players Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-America® Teams

AUSTIN, Texas -- On July 14, three student-athletes from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) volleyball programs were named Academic All-Americans® by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), including Trine's Jacqueline Baughman and both Adair Cutler and McKenna Otto of Hope.

Eight of the 21 members on the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Teams have a perfect 4.00 grade point average, including Baughman and Cutler.

After previously being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Second Team in 2019, Trine's Jacqueline Baughman assists the First Team's average cumulative GPA of 3.89 this year with her perfect mark of 4.00.  Baughman is Trine's first volleyball player ever to be selected to CoSIDA's Academic All-America® First Team.  The senior is an Exercise Science/Pre-Physical Therapy major.

Hope's Adair Cutler was selected to the Academic All-America® Second Team, along with teammate McKenna Otto.  Cutler recently graduated with a degree in Mathematics and a cumulative grade point average of 4.00.  Otto, a junior at Hope, boasts a GPA of 3.68 as a Biomedical/Biomechanical Engineering major.

The Division III Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Division III Academic All-America® teams.
