The Calvin volleyball team posted a 3-0 win over Alma Saturday afternoon (Oct. 27) to post their fourth consecutive unblemished MIAA season to capture the 2018 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Volleyball Championship. It marks the ninth consecutive title for the Knights and 25th since the 1972 season.

As the regular season champions, Calvin will be the top seed and will host the semifinal and final rounds of the upcoming MIAA Volleyball Tournament, where the winner will receive an automatic berth into the 2018 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship. The Knights await the winner of Tuesday's first round contest between Albion and Trine.

Calvin, currently ranked No. 1 nationally by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, are 26-1 on the year and dropped just five sets during the conference slate.
