• Albion rebounded from a 3-0 loss to #6 Calvin with two non-conference wins on the weekend; the Britons have won seven of their last eight matches.
• #6 Calvin stayed unbeaten in MIAA play with a 3-0 win over Albion Sept. 27. The Knights hit .314 as a team and out-blocked the Britons 9-1 in the three-set victory.
• Olivet doubled their win total in a five-match week, going 3-2 overall. The Comets started the week with a 3-1 victory at Alma Sept. 27 thanks to 17 kills from Brittney Prince (So., MH, Ferndale, Mich.).
• Saint Mary's went 2-0 on the week, defeating MIAA foe Adrian 3-2 Sept. 27 to improve to 4-4 through the first round of conference play. Against the Bulldogs, Audrey Hamilton (Jr. L, New Albany, Ind.) set an MIAA record for digs in a five-set match (46).
• Trine notched a 3-0 MIAA win over Kalamazoo Sept. 27, hitting a red-hot .464 in the third set.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 2 were:
