Regular season play concluded last week for MIAA volleyball, setting the stage for the 2016 MIAA Volleyball Tournament hosted by Calvin College Nov. 4-5.

• #1 Calvin wrapped up their unbeaten MIAA season with a 3-0 week, including a five-set win over #11 Hope to capture the 2016 MIAA regular season title. Against the Dutch, Laura Danhoff (Sr., MH, Willard, Ohio) blasted 14 kills to lead four players in double figure kills on the night. The Knights battled back from a 2-1 set deficit with a 25-19 fourth-set win, where Calvin rallied from being down 18-13 in the critical set. Jenna Lodewyk (Jr., S, Villa Park, Ill.) handed out 38 assists, while Anna Kamp (So., OH, Orland Park, Ill.) had a double-double of 13 kills and 15 digs.
• Saint Mary's emphatically finished the regular season with a trio of 3-0 MIAA victories to move up to the #3 seed for the MIAA Tournament. With their victory at Trine Oct. 29, the Belles matched their program record of 11 conference wins, the most since the 1998 campaign. Rachel Bonek (Jr., RS, Buchanan, Mich.) led Saint Mary's with 15 kills in the Trine win, while Meaghan Gibbons (Sr., LS, Dallas, Texas) averaged 4.3 kills and 3.6 digs per set for the week.
• #11 Hope pressed #1 Calvin to the limit Oct. 28, and coupled with a pair of MIAA victories, finished the regular season with a 13-3 MIAA record and grabbed the #2 seed for the MIAA Tournament. Sarah Feldpausch (Sr., OH, White Cloud, Mich.) had a solid week with 28 total kills and added team highs of 22 digs and three aces at Calvin Oct. 28.
• Adrian finished the regular season with a 1-2 week and claimed the #4 seed for the MIAA Tournament. In their 3-0 Senior Night win over Olivet Oct. 28, Margo Joubran (Sr., RS, Mount Morris, Mich.) led with 15 kills and added 11 digs for her 12-th double-double of the season.
• Albion posted a 2-1 week to close out the Brits' season, defeating Trine Oct. 25 and tournament-qualifying Adrian Oct. 29. Against the Bulldogs, Albion was bolstered by 16-kill efforts from Kelsey Gustafson (Fr., OH, Armada, Mich.) and Lauren Outwater (Sr., OH, Coldwater, Mich.).
