No. 11 Hope Volleyball Sweeps Kalamazoo In MIAA Road Match

Freshman Katie Rietberg delivered a career-high 15 kills to help the 11th-ranked Hope College volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep at Kalamazoo College on Tuesday.

The outside hitter from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS), hit .375 during the 25-8, 25-22, 25-18 win.

Hope improved to 22-5 overall and 13-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play. The league-tournament bound Flying Dutch wrap up the regular season on Friday at Olivet.

Senior libero Allie Mitchell of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS) led Hope with 18 digs against Kalamazoo (1-23, 0-14 MIAA).

Senior setter Lauren Hazekamp of Fruitport, Michigan (Fruitport HS) collected 31 assists.

Sophomore Haley Muller of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian HS), recorded seven kills. 

Junior outside hitter Sarah Feldpausch of White Cloud, Michigan (White Cloud HS), and junior middle hitter Courtney Van Houzen of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City HS) made six kills apiece.
