No. 10 Hope Volleyball Tops Adrian In Four Sets On The Road

Outside hitter Sarah Feldpausch and the 10th-ranked Hope College volleyball team opened a busy homecoming weekend with a four-set win at Adrian on Friday.

The junior from White Cloud, Michigan (White Cloud HS), totaled a match-high 18 kills for the Flying Dutch during the 25-14, 25-22, 26-28, 25-21 victory.

Hope improved to 20-5 overall and reached the 20-win mark for the 11th consecutive season. The Flying Dutch also upped their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association record to 11-2 and clinched at least the No. 2 seed for next month's league tournament.

Feldpausch reached double-digits in kills for the 18th time this season and the fifth in a row.

Hope received 10 kills apiece from junior middle hitter Courtney Van Houzen of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City West HS) and sophomore outside hitter Haley Muller of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian HS).

Senior setter Lauren Hazekamp of Fruitport, Michigan (Fruitport HS) totaled 42 assists along with a team-high 23 digs and seven kills. 

Hope has won six consecutive matches.

The Flying Dutch return to action on Saturday, Oct. 24 with a 2:30 p.m. homecoming match against Saint Mary's at DeVos Fieldhouse.
