No. 14 Hope Volleyball Downs Albion, Extends Win Streak To Six

The Hope College volleyball team continued its trend as one of the nation's top hitting teams on Friday during a 25-20, 25-14, 25-14 win against Albion at DeVos Fieldhouse.

The 14th-ranked Flying Dutch (13-4 overall) pushed their win streak to six matches behind 46 kills as a team. They entered the match with the second-highest average in the nation at 14.38 kills per set.

Junior outside Sarah Feldpausch of White Cloud, Michigan (White Cloud HS), topped Hope with a match-high 14 kills. She has reached double-digits in two consecutive matches and 13 overall this season.

Sophomore Haley Muller of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian HS), added 10 kills as Hope raised its MIAA record to 8-1. 

Senior setter Lauren Hazekamp of Fruitport, Michigan (Fruitport HS), directed the Flying Dutch with 31 assists. She also had 12 digs, trailing only the 18 belonging to senior teammate Allie Mitchell of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS).

Hope returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Alma. Start time is 1 p.m.
