#D3MIAA Women's Track & Field Programs, Individuals Gather USTFCCCA Academic Honors

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams and individuals selected to their individual All-Academic and team All-Academic awards for the 2017-18 seasons.

Three MIAA teams (Calvin, Hope, Olivet) along with 13 student-athletes achieved the academic and athletic standards set by the national coaching organization.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

  • Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
  • Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

In order to be in contention for All-Academic Team honors, a program must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA. In 2017-18, 185 women's programs were honored.
