MIAA Indoor Track and Field Student-Athletes Garner Eleven All-America Accolades

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Seven student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) earned a total of eleven All-America honors following their performances at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Trine University senior Jake Gladieux earned First Team All-America recognition in both the 200m dash and the 60m hurdles.  Gladieux won the national championship in the 60m hurdles after clocking in at 7.96.  He also earned a sixth-place finish in the 200m dash dash with a time of 21.56.

Albion College senior Avery Campbell, Hope College sophomore Sara Schermerhorn, and The University of Olivet senior Jordon Brown each received both First- and Second-Team honors following their performances at the national meet.

Campbell was named a First Team All-American in the 60m dash after finishing in eighth place (7.75).  She received a Second-Team nod with her twelfth-place finish in the 200m dash (24.87).

Schermerhorn, the 2024 MIAA Most Valuable Women's Track Athlete, received First-Team recognition in the 400m dash with a time of 56.45.  Her spot on the Second Team was secured by finishing eleventh in the 200m dash (24.86).

Brown, the 2024 MIAA Most Valuable Men's Track Athlete, finished eighth in the 200m dash (21.83) for First-Team honors.  He was named to the All-America Second Team after concluding the 400m dash in tenth place with a time of 48.24.

Adrian College senior Emme Koutz received Second-Team recognition in the 800m run after clocking in at 2:14.13 for sixteenth place.

Senior Flying Dutchman Eli Meder was named to the All-America Second Team for the 800m run after finishing in thirteenth place with a time of 1:53.20.
