Adrian

The Adrian College women’s track and field team saw a record fall last weekend at the Midwest Classic hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. Senior Rayona Hart-Wilson set a new Adrian College women’s indoor track record for the long jump, with a distance of 17’5.25”, narrowly edging the previous record of 17’4.25” set last year.

No. 15 Albion

Albion jumped 10 spots to No. 15 in the Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index for Division III released by the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Jan. 29…ShaQuoria Thompson and Cassie Vince achieved marks that currently place them among the top 10 on the Division III lists in their respective events. Running in the Meyo Invitational at the University of Notre Dame, Vince set a time of 9:31.07 in the 3,000 meters. It’s the sixth-fastest time in Division III history and an Albion College record and it keeps Vince at No. 2 on the Division III list for the season (Vince is second only to Kaitlyn Mooney of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, 9:27.25). Thompson won the shot put competition in the Midwest Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan University. Thompson's throw of 44’ 8” moves the first-year student from Waxahachie, Texas, into 10th place on the Division III list for the season.

Alma

Did not compete. The Scots return to action Friday, Feb. 8 at the Aquinas College Little Meet.

Hope

The Hope College women’s indoor track & field team won one event and set a school record in another Saturday en route to a runner-up finish at the University of Chicago’s Windy City Invitational. Senior Kayla Gercak (Vicksburg, Mich.) led a sweep of the top six times in the 5,000 meters. Freshman Jenna Breuker (Grand Rapids, Mich.) broke a three-year school record in the indoor shot put.

Olivet

The Olivet College women's indoor track & field team was 15th at the Hillsdale College "Wide Track Classic." Freshman Lillian Albaugh set a school record in the shot put with a 43 foot, 4.25 inch toss. Senior Michaela Kaliniak won the pole vault (10 feet, 8-3/4 inches).

No. 22 Trine

Trine finished 10th of 19 teams at the Hillsdale (Mich.) College Wide-Track Classic. The Thunder set a school record in the DMR with a time of 12:15.01 and placed third overall. Team members included: Hannah Blystone, Jensyn Garrow, Chloe Brittain, and Evie Bultemeyer.
