Poor weather conditions cancelled many events for MIAA Indoor Track and Field programs last weekend; here are updates of teams that were able to compete:
• Alma competed at Aquinas College Feb. 9. Chelse Van Spronsen (Sr., Jenison, Mich.) earned one of three individual victories for the women's team in the one-mile run, finishing in 5:30.57.
• Calvin also took part in the Aquinas Little Meet Feb. 9, with Erin Van Lenten (Jr., Hawthorne, N.J.) winning the triple jump (33'-9.5").
• Calvin and Olivet also had competitors at the Grand Valley State Big Meet Feb. 9, with Calvin competing in distance events and Olivet's Michaela Kaliniak (Jr., Sparta, Mich.) taking to the air in the pole vault.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Feb. 12 were:
