• Albion started their 2017-18 season with a flourish at the Saginaw Valley Holiday Classic Dec. 2. Cassie Vince (Jr., Amherst, Ohio) turned in a top time in the 5,000m run, crossing in 17:24.21. First-year athletes also performed well in their collegiate debuts, including Layla Wilks in the 60m dash (8.14) and 200m dash (25.99).

• Alma also competed at the SVSU Holiday Classic, with Hannah Garn (Sr., Charlotte, Mich.) shining brightly in the 5000m run in her final meet as a collegiate student-athlete; Garn placed sixth overall with a career-best time of 18:34.4.

• Trine hosted the Sean Brady Conditioner Dec. 2; Kara Eck (Sr., Auburn, Ind.) was a two-time winner in the shot put and the weight throw while Jenna Gales (So., Mendon, Mich.) was victorious in both the 200m dash and 400m dash. 

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Dec. 4 was:
