ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College Athletic Director, Craig Rainey, announced the hiring of Kyle Haines as head coach of the men's and women's tennis programs on Monday afternoon. Haines is a 2020 graduate of Adrian College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in business while majoring in marketing. Kyle has spent the fall of 2023 as the Bulldogs' volunteer assistant tennis coach.

Haines was a member of the Adrian College men's tennis team for four seasons. During his four seasons on the team, Haines was named a team captain. The Bulldogs placed in the top-4 every season Haines was a member of the team and totaled 35 matches won.

From 2016-2020, Haines served as Director of Tennis Camps for Davison High School where he designed and implemented comprehensive training sessions with teams and individuals. Since 2018, Haines has served as a tennis club coach and player consultant for the YMCA of Monroe.

"I was excited to hear Kyle was interested in taking over the leadership role in the tennis program," Rainey said. "I think he will bring a new vision and enthusiasm to the program. We hope this will make the transition smooth while giving all of tennis student-athletes a great mentor and leader."

Haines will begin his coaching responsibilities immediately where he will begin preparing for the men's and women's MIAA conference season in the spring.
