The Hope College women's tennis team is returning to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for this week's NCAA Division III Championships regional round of play.

The MIAA Tournament champion Flying Dutch will face North Central College (Ill.) in the first round at Carnegie Mellon University on Thursday, May 4, at 10 a.m.

This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Hope and North Central, the College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin regular-season and tournament champions.

The Flying Dutch lead the all-time series, 2-1, including a 5-4 victory in their last meeting on April 2, 2022, during an ITA tournament in Madison, Wisconsin.

Led by head coach Austin Hunt, Hope advanced to nationals for the 17th time overall and 11th in a row by winning the MIAA Tournament last week.

The Flying Dutch (13-6 overall) avenged a regular-season, 5-4 loss to Kalamazoo College in the tournament final by defeating the Hornets, 5-3.

The MIAA Tournament title streak of 11 is the longest in league history.

The Hope-North Central winner will face No. 14 Carnegie Mellon in the second round.

In the other half of the bracket, Kenyon College (Ohio) will play Otterbein University (Ohio) in the first round. The winner will meet 18th-ranked New York University in the second round.
