Hope's Hallock Caps Season With All-American Honors from ITA

Hope College women's tennis player Claire Hallock, a junior from Lakeland, Florida, was named an ITA All-American by the national organization and becomes the fifth Hope women's tennis player to garner All-America honors from ITA.

Hallock, who played No. 1 singles for the Flying Dutch this season and was the MIAA Player of the Year, matched a career-high for singles wins with a 25-3 record. Hallock is tied for third all-time among Flying Dutch players in singles wins in a season; Hallock's 71 career singles wins are sixth most all-time at Hope.

The ITA selection criteria for Division III All-Americans is: top 8 seed in the NCAA singles tournament, win one round at the NCAA singles tournament, finish in the Top 20 in the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win USTA/ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships.

All-America honors are awarded to doubles teams that are a top 4 seed in NCAA doubles tournament, win one round at the NCAA doubles tournament, finish in the Top 10 in the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win the USTA/ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships.
