• Calvin added two more sweeps in MIAA play with 9-0 victories over Adrian April 18 and at Trine April 22. For the week, Anna Asfour (Fr., Grand Rapids, Mich.) dropped only four games in two victories at No. 4 singles while adding a win at No. 3 doubles against Trine.
• With a 2-0 week in MIAA play, including their 9-0 victory over Saint Mary's April 22, Hope guaranteed at least a share of their 24th MIAA regular season title. Nancy Benda (Sr., Birmingham, Mich.) was a leader at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles against the Belles, going 6-0, 6-1 in singles action.
• Kalamazoo remained tied with Calvin for second place in the MIAA with a 2-0 week, with the two teams slated to face off April 29 in the regular season finale for both teams. The Hornets were aided by Sonal Bahl (So., Ann Arbor, Mich.), who did not drop a game in the 9-0 win over Alma at No. 2 doubles and No. 5 singles and had a come-from-behind win at No. 6 singles against Saint Mary's, winning 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
• Trine earned their first MIAA win of the season with a 6-3 victory over Olivet April 23. Depth helped the Thunder prevail, as the No. 3 doubles tandem of Kyra Braun (Fr., Portland, Ind.) and Abby Hoge (Sr., Berrien Springs, Mich.) combined for an 8-3 win before taking victories at No. 6 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
