The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-champion Hope College women's tennis team completed a perfect run through league play with a 9-0 win at Olivet on Saturday.
The 34th-ranked Flying Dutch upped their win streak to 12 matches while improving to 16-4 overall and 8-0 against MIAA opponents.
Hope won all six singles matches in straight sets.
At No. 1, junior Nancy Benda of Birmingham, Michigan (Seaholm HS) beat Rachael Hager 6-0, 6-1.
At No. 2, senior Anna Garcia of Battle Creek, Michigan (Lakeview HS) defeated Maddy Drikakis 6-3, 6-1.
At No. 3, senior Marie Holaway of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) topped Haley Powers 6-1, 6-0.
At No. 4, junior Kate Mader of Granger, Indiana (Penn HS) claimed a 6-3, 6-0 win against BreAnne Rudloff.
At No. 5, freshman Taylor LaBarge of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville HS) earned a 6-0, 6-1 against Rae Claramunt.
At No. 6, freshman Catherine Wingrove of Okemos, Michigan (Okemos HS) downed Jeannette Fisher 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, Benda and Holaway won the No. 1 flight 8-2 against Maddy Drikakis and Hager.
At No. 2, Garcia and LaBarge beat Powers and Rudlaff 8-2.
At No. 3, Mader and Amanda Susnak of Lowell, Michigan (Lowell HS) won 8-0 against Lydia Drikakis and Isabel Snyder.
Hope returns to action on Thursday, May 5 with a 4 p.m. MIAA Tournament semifinal against fourth-seeded Saint Mary's.
