Men's Recap

Calvin University opened day three of the competition with an MIAA record-breaking time of 1:27.95 in the 200 medley relay.  The winning Calvin quartet included junior David Bajwa as the lead off, sophomore Caleb Gemmen, senior Julien Camy, and classmate Forrest Peterson as the anchor.  Hope College was the runner-up with a time of 1:28.56, followed by the Knights in third place (1:31.07).

Senior Eric Chimes of Calvin finished first in the 400 IM after clocking in at a record-breaking time of 3:56.47.  Hope freshman Alex Pierce concluded the race in second place (4:02.08) and sophomore teammate Bishop Carl in third with a time of 4:06.32.

Calvin senior Julien Camy notched a victory in the 100 fly with a record-breaking time of 46.87.  Hope senior Ben Catton was the runner-up with a time of 47.44, followed by Calvin senior Forrest Peterson in third place (48.10).

Sophomore Knight Charles Platt earned a first-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:38.95.  He was followed by Hope graduate student Bailey Smith in second place (1:41.10) and Calvin junior Joshua Seidelman in third place (1:41.38).

Hope junior Christian Dunaitis notched a victory in the 100 breast (54.80).  Calvin sophomore Caleb Gemmen clocked in at 55.34 for the No. 2 spot, followed by classmate Tim Hays in third place (55.81).

Junior Knight David Bajwa finished first in the 100 back with a time of 47.69.  Calvin sophomore Charles Platt clocked in at 48.30 for the runner-up position and was trailed by Hope junior Colin Kalkman in third place (48.56).

On the three-meter board, Hope senior Ewan Tiongson won the championship title with 457.80 points.  Calvin divers claimed the next two spots with junior Jason Perez in second place (430.05) and classmate Wil Goodpaster in third place (409.40).

Women's Recap

The Knights opened day three with an MIAA record-breaking win in the 200 medley relay (1:41.74).  Calvin University's first-place quartet included senior Sadie Norman as the lead off, freshman Elise Bajwa, junior Maggie Farrell, and classmate Sydney Sonday as the anchor.  Hope College finished second with a time of 1:42.03 and another Flying Dutch quartet in third place (1:44.26).

Hope sophomore Ashlea Swingewood claimed first place in the 400 IM with a time of 4:32.89.  Senior Jennifer Mann of Olivet placed second (4:34.01), followed by Hope junior Grace Wesley in third place (4:35.37).

Hope junior Greta Gidley was No. 1 on the podium in the 100 fly with a time of 55.08.  Calvin junior Sydney Sonday clinched second place (56.15) and was followed by Albion College junior Hannah Fathman in third place (56.43).

Calvin senior Isabella Gable defended her championship title in the 200 free after clocking in at 1:50.65.  Freshman teammate Emma Merkel claimed second place with a time of 1:51.86, while Hope sophomore Laurel Wasiniak finished third (1:52.20).

Junior Lauren Ryle of Hope won the 100 breast for the second-straight year after concluding the race in 1:03.09.  Albion junior Mattie Smith finished in second place (1:03.46) and Hope freshman Anna Stolle in third place with a time of 1:04.33.

Hope junior Sara Kraus is now a three-time champion in the 100 back (56.20).  Sophomore teammate Katie Hermann concluded the race as the runner-up (56.94) and was trailed by freshman teammate Emma Hartman with a time of 58.18.
