Eight MIAA Women's Swimmers and Divers Named All-Americans by CSCAA

Eight women's swimmers and divers from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were recognized as All-Americans by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches of America (CSCAA) on May 31.

Due to the cancellation of their respective national championships, selection procedures were adjusted for the season. Swimming selections were made on the basis of verified performances in bona-fide competition submitted by their respective coaches. Division III diving selections were conducted via a video evaluation of performances from the 2020-21 academic year.

Hope is represented by three swimmers, Albion and Calvin by two student-athletes, and Olivet by one swimmer.

Calvin's Hannah Chao, and Hope's Emma Schaefer and Bailey Smith were selected to All-America Teams for three events.  Schaefer is a two-time MIAA Most Valuable Swimmer.  Calvin's Hannabeth Magnussen, a two-time recipient of the MIAA's Most Valuable Diver award, earned All-American honors in both the one meter dive and the three meter dive this year.
