Calvin College's Anna Serino and Saint Mary's College's Elizabeth Preister received honors for achievement both in the classroom and in competition May 16 with their selection to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Division III At-Large Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Serino was voted to the All-District 6 team and Preister was named to the All-District 7 team; both are now eligible for Google Cloud Academic All-America® honors.

Serino recently concluded a standout four-year career on the Calvin women's swimming and diving team. During her career she has been a member of three NCAA III All-America relay teams and three relays that have received NCAA III Honorable Mention All-America recognition.

Preister is one of Saint Mary's Class of 2019's valedictorians after boasting a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 over the past four years. A four-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll honoree, Preister had a 59-13 career singles record for her career.

CoSIDA's NCAA Division III District 6 includes Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin; District 7 encompasses Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Members of CoSIDA from the district vote on Academic All-District honors. Student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible.

The Women's At-Large Team nominations are open to student-athletes who have competed in beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, and/or water polo.
