Eight MIAA Soccer Programs Earn 2022-23 Team Academic Award from USC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- On August 16, eight soccer programs from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were deemed 2022-23 College Team Academic Award Winners by United Soccer Coaches (USC).

A total of 827 soccer teams (322 men, 505 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year.

Among the 189 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized were Albion College and Calvin University.

Kalamazoo College leads the MIAA on the Women's Team Academic Award list with a grade-point average of 3.67, followed by Trine University with a 3.61 GPA and Saint Mary's College with a 3.55 GPA.  Both Albion and Hope College finished the year with a grade-point average of 3.54.  The Knights earned a 3.50 GPA.

On the men's side, Calvin recorded a 3.66 GPA and Albion concluded the year with a 3.03 grade-point average.
