HUDSONVILLE, Mich. -- At the conclusion of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's soccer regular season, head coaches from the MIAA's nine member institutions that sponsor women's soccer voted on All-MIAA awards.

Calvin University freshman Lucy Iverson was voted the 2022 MIAA Most Valuable Player after leading the Knights to a 7-0-1 league finish and the top seed in the 2022 MIAA Women's Soccer Tournament.  In starting all eight conference contests, the defender held MIAA opponents to just one goal against, and also contributed 21 shots, a game-winning goal, three goals, and an assist throughout the regular season.

Trine University defender Andrea Wright was selected as the recipient of the 2022 Senior Sportswoman of the Year Award.  The two-year team captain and Biochemistry/Pre-Med major has a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.  She has played in 67 games (starting 64 of them) and has contributed 10 goals and three assists as a defender in her career.  Wright's roles in organizations on campus this year alone include: President of Health Sciences Association, Vice President of Theta Phi Alpha, Vice President of Order of Omega, Treasurer and Service Coordinator of Delight Women's Ministry, member of Doctors Without Borders, and member of Trine Christian Athletes.  The list of community service events that Wright has coordinated or helped organize is extensive and includes the following:  Organized and coordinated the Trine "Big Man on Campus" Event to support the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research; Organized and put on the Trine Health Science Association 5K which raised money to support the Riley Children's Hospital; Volunteered at her local COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic; Volunteered at Fremont Youth and Community Outreach Center to help organize a canned food drive; Volunteered to help coach at the Angola YMCA youth soccer association; Helped run and organize Trine's "U-can Crush Hunger" food drive; Led the soccer team in making yearly Valentine's Day Cards for seniors living in the Cameron Woods Senior Community Center.  Wright will be attending Medical School after graduation with plans to become a Pediatric Endocrinologist.

Albion's Rayna Edwards, Calvin's Sophie Mueuller and Rory Pruis, and Hope's Jenna Mustapha all received All-MIAA recognition for the third time in their careers.  Seven players earned a spot on the All-MIAA Teams for a second time including Adrian's Eve Davis and McKenna Mahoney, Albion's Megan Loney, Calvin's Kaitlyn Van Laare, and Trine's Sophie Aschemeier, Teresa Ashbrook, and Olivia Butterworth.
