Kalamazoo's Wolfe and DeConinck Named 2021 USC Scholar All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mich. -- Kalamazoo women's soccer players Hannah Wolfe and Emme DeConinck were announced as selections to the 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III Women Scholar All-North/Central Region Team on May 20, 2021.

Wolfe, a senior goalkeeper for the Hornets, is a doublemajor in biology and psychology with a grade point average of 3.88.  The dual-sport athlete (soccer and lacrosse) has been named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll three-straight years (2018-20), is a two-time All-MIAA honoree (Fall 2019 and Spring 2021), and was voted the spring 2021 MIAA Senior Sportswoman of the Year.  Wolfe has been a four-year starter as goalie.  In conference play this spring, the Hornet finished second in goals against (2), save percentage (.905), and wins (4).

Junior midfielder DeConinck is a biology major with a 3.52 grade point average.  DeConinck was named to the 2019-20 MIAA Academic Honor Roll and received Second Team All-MIAA accolades for the spring 2021 season.  The Hornet started eight games for Kalamazoo this season.

To be eligible for Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:

  • 3.40 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
  • Started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team
  • Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution
  • Junior or above in academic standing; and, if a transfer student, in second year at school

2020-2021 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women Scholar All-Region Teams
