Adrian Goes 1-1 at NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship

The Adrian College women's soccer team recorded their first-ever NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship history in grand fashion Nov. 16, defeating UW-Stevens Point 1-0 in double overtime in the First Round.

Senior Caroline Fleming scored in the 102nd minute, notching what may have been the most memorable goal in Adrian history. Off a forward ball from Makenna Mascaro, Fleming gathered the ball in stride; and with a one-touch chip over an oncoming UW-Stevens Point goalkeeper, the Bulldogs were victorious.

Against UW-Stevens Point, the Bulldogs fended off 15 shots by the Pointers for the shutout.

In the Second Round, the Bears scored in the 35th minute and 67th minute for the game's lone goals in Adrian's 2-0 setback to WashU. Ayverie Giller registered six saves in the setback.

The Bulldogs' season ends with a 17-5-2 record.
