The final week of regular season play for MIAA women's soccer didn't disappoint, as seeding for three of the four slots were up for grabs on the final day of action on Monday.

• Kalamazoo recovered from a weekend loss to Albion Oct. 29 with a 3-1 win over Olivet Oct. 31 to give the Hornets a share of the 2016 MIAA regular season title and the top seed for the MIAA Tournament. Against Olivet, Madeleine Chilcote (Sr., M, Rochester Hills, Mich.) scored twice in the span of less than three minutes early in the first half to help seal the win.
• Hope went 2-0 on the week, including a shutout win at Calvin Oct. 31 to secure a share of the 2016 MIAA regular season title. Natalie Curry (Sr., M, Grand Rapids, Mich.) was up for late heroics, scoring in the 85th minute as the Flying Dutch registered their fifth shutout of the MIAA season.
• Calvin secured third place in the MIAA Tournament with a 2-1 week, as their early victories separated the Knights from the lower half of the standings. The Knights started with a key 2-1 overtime win against Alma Oct. 26, with Carly Veenstra (Sr., F, North Haledon, N.J.) notching the decisive goal in the 91st minute.
• Alma had little room for error with a 3-0 week by Albion forcing a tiebreak scenario on the final day of action. Bouncing back from their mid-week setback to Calvin, the Scots outlasted Trine 2-1 Oct. 29 and then secured a 4-0 result against Saint Mary's Oct. 31 to push Alma into the postseason. Against Trine, Macayla Greiner (Sr., M, Hart, Mich.) scored just 61 seconds into the second half while Whitnee Foote (Jr., F, Mt. Pleasant, Mich.) added the game-winner in the 60th minute.
